Entry Requirements

You Will Normally Have The Following:

• You can get primary and secondary degree too.
• Current and ongoing experience supporting higher education student learning
• Current experience, or anticipated experience during the duration of the programme, of curriculum design and assessment at the higher education level

Previous experience is valued on the PGCLTHE. Course members. Also, who have the equivalent of three years of full-time experience in a related educational setting can apply for accreditation of prior learning against a module towards the certificate.

Accreditation

The PGCLTHE is accredited by Advance HE as an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) for the first LTHE4141 module, and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) for the full course.

Completion of the full PGCLTHE meets Descriptor 2 of the UK Professional Standards Framework for Higher Education Teachers and confers the Fellowship of the Academy of Higher Education (FHEA).

Completion of the first module of the programme, ‘Supporting Student Learning’. Also, meets Descriptor 1 of the UK Professional Standards Framework for Higher Education Teachers. So, confers an Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA).
